Queens Park Rangers’ winger, Hogan Ephraim, finally completed his long expected loan move to Charlton on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old former West Ham trainee, has also played on loan for both Colchester and Leeds. Ephraim made 28 appearances in QPR’s promotion team last season and came on as a sub at Everton in August, as well as appearing in the Carling Cup for the Hoops. Unfortunately, when the transfer window closed at the end of August, Ephraim failed to make Rangers’ 25 man squad.

A right-footed player,he is far happier on the left – as was Jerome Thomas – but his preferred position is just behind the main striker.

A pacy player, Ephraim will give Chris Powell several options. With Dale Stephens out for several weeks, Powell may wish to push Jackson into the middle. If so, Ephraim would be the ideal replacement on the left.

Charlton overcame Bromley at Hayes Lane on their return to the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday evening. Goals from Ruben Bover, Michael Smith and Tobi Sho-Silva saw the Addicks edge the game 3-2.

They will now travel to meet either Ramsgate or Margate in the quarter-finals.
